La Salle à Manger "La Vinothèque by La Salle à Manger" in Tunis

Un très bon restaurant avec un joli cadre ! Jai appelé pour venir manger à 14h et nous étions bien accueillis. Les spaghettis à la poutargue étaient un delice. Le café était très bon également. La tarte au citron était très décevante par contre, un goût très artificiel avec des couleurs industrielle...il ne faut pas oublier que le dessert arrive après un repas, ce nest pas normal que ça soit si lourd !Ça sera bien aussi de proposer du vin au verre pour accompagner les plats. Ils ne proposent que des bouteilles ! Un choix très limité des apéritifs !Sinon Merci pour ce bon moment !

I left this restaurant with a bitter taste. The service was miserable and unprofessional. Im sorry for the owner and the chef who prepared the meal. Going to a restaurant for a culinary experience starts at the door and finishes at the door.No welcoming, no greetings at departure. Server very rude to the limit of extremely. Sharing a bucket for the wine with all the restaurant is a shame. Asking for water 3 times is another shame. Being provided the wine card without even looking at the customer is rude. My side dish came after I finished my main course and no apology at all was provided when I said I didnt need it.Too bad you failed miserably for a restaurant tonight.

A bit pricey, other than that no complains, nice ambiance and delicious menu! Oh, the staff didn’t understand much of Arabic

Nous avons très bien manger , souris d’agneau excellente ravioli au truffe au top .Petit bémole beaucoup trop chaud dans la pièce principale et nous étions en famille juste en face de nous côté bar un couple qui s’embrassait et si ce n’étais que sa ( je vous passe les détails . Dommage nous sommes quand même en Tunisie moi qui habite en France dans des restaurants, (surtout un restaurant classe comme celui ci on ne voit pas ce genre de choses et bien sûr aucun serveur n’a réagit , c’est honteux

Du haut standing, les plats sont très bons.Les serveurs sont avenants, souriants et très sympathiques.seul point négatif, le foie gras était à la limite du congelé

Très bonne expérience, le lieu est beau, on sy sent a laise. Le personnel est agréable et prévenant. Les plats sont très bons et copieux, je recommande lors dun séjour sur Tunis.

They serve some of the best dishes you could have in Tunis. The highlights include the amazing goat cheese starter and roast leg of lamb, we loved the dessert which tasted like a lemon sorbet with some pineapple shavings.What is also great about this place is the inclusion of kids with such quality dish that would be served as a quality dish for adults in other restaurants.The biggest let down was the steak which was cooked until burned but the rest of the items were really great in general.

Extraordinary. Meets an elite standard by which you judge all other restaurants. The staff is always ready to help(specially Moez and Fouwzi ), the premises are extremely clean, the atmosphere is lovely, and the food is both delicious and beautifully presented.

Classic French dishes that are well executed. A good wine selection. Great atmosphere.

Je recommande la salle à manger. Accueil chaleureux, cadre agréable, les plats sont excellents (mention spéciale à la souris d’agneau, le carrément chocolat et l’entrée chèvre mielet le service est rapide avec un bon respect des gestes barrière.

Perhaps I chose the wrong dishes but I was not overly impressed with the food.The atmosphere, the decor and the staff made up for it. But I’d avoid the pasta dishes in future.

Probably the best restaurant in town. Amazing food, nice atmosphere, recommended for couples. If you like lamb meat, definitely go for Souris DAgneau Laquee

Went there for lunch. In one hand the food was really good, service was overall very good too (even though there is some inconsistency between the waitress and the waiter, the waiter being so much nicer and attentive than her).On the other hand, they allow customers to smoke inside the restaurant, and unfortunately we had heavy smokers around us. That really killed the experience so I would not recommend the place unless change their policy.As general rule, I don’t mind smokers, people should be allowed to do whatever, but please not in an indoor restaurant.Side note, they really have little vegetarian options but a lot of fish/meat, and no dessert options (most of the options listed in the menu were not available).

He ido en varias ocasiones y no me ha decepcionado en ninguna. Desde la calle prácticamente es indetectable pues es una villa como las demás del barrio donde se encuentra. Tiene una entrada iluminada con un cartel pequeño y macetas. Se accede por lo que sería la entrada para coches de la villa. Tiene dos ambientes, el lo lounge y el comedor. El primero está decorado con mucho gusto y tiene una barra y una pequeña bodega y ambiente estupendo con jazz y luces bajas. El segundo es un comedor estilo vintage. Tanto el servicio como la comida son muy buenos. Una ensalada un plato principal, coca cola y vino 86 Dinares ( 27 euros aproximadamente ). Sirven también embutidos de cerdo. ¡Muy recomendable!

Very bad experience. One of the worse “high end” restaurants in Tunis. Fish was frozen. Shrimps were so small and no taste at all. The pasta was mediocre with 4 small shrimps and sour taste. The carpaccio octopus had a weird taste. Overall I was so deceived how friends told me you will be satisfied, knowing that I eat often in high end restaurants. Make yourself a favor don’t eat in this restaurant. Sorry but it’s the first time i rate one star.

The place is nice to enjoy a dinner with friends or romantic date, I went with my husband we enjoyed every bit of food that we ate enjoyed the wine selection, the staff are excellent and highly professional. I recommend this place . I am going back soon, good job keep going.

Excelent food and the staff is very welcoming

Good food, good atmosphere, friendly staffs. All good, but it was hard for me as a tourist to get there and come back to where I stay, because it was almost impossible to grab a taxi. I initially asked for a taxi at the restaurant after dinner, but I think calling taxi is not common in general in Tunis, so the staff told me to walk to the nearest main street and grab one by myself. So I tried for nearly 30min, but failed, simply because there were no taxis available, not a single one stopped by. I had to walk all the way back to my hotel which took 30min. Well, nice food and nice work out in the end, but it was frustrating when being tipsy after drinks.

We went for a group gathering twice on different occasions. Both times the atmosphere was welcoming, the food was delicious with a variety of choices and the staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. The prices were somewhat high, but it was worth the experience.

Really cute restaurant with decent food and wine, and good hospitality. Will definitely come back to this restaurant when I’m in Tunis again!

Salle à manger is simply one of the best! Atmosphere is superb, food is mesmerising, service is fast and waiters are extremely professional.

Delicious food

The food really was quite good but the service is rather bad. I wanted the duck confit but the waiter said they didnt have it. I opted for the other duck dish which they did have. Im not certain how a skilled kitchen can make duck one way but not the other - it is listed as an option on the menu. The entire evening, we were treated as though we were a burden and unwelcome and I have been told that is common by other locals. Food alone would warrant a higher rating but poor service combined with high prices make it unlikely I would return or recommend it to anyone else.

Good food. Good staff. Nice place. Smoking area maybe bit crowded and the smoke smells bad in it. But they have a non smoking area which is much better.

Definitely my most excellent experience in Tunis. The environment is superior and the taste of food is really good. Restaurant opens at 8:00pm you can go to the lounge bar if you go too early.

I didnt give it 5 stars because of the waiter and the price. The food was great, the mood was subtle but the waiter should work more on how to treat customers.the prices are also a bit exaggerated and you need to dress up otherwise you will feel out of place.

Atmosphere has its own tranquility and the food presentation a Long the taste was great . Also its like a hidden gem in the downtown .
